Abstract

This article has as study object the relationship between family and school of night shift students in school documents. The guiding questions for the study development were: How is forseen families participation in school documents (Political Pedagogical Project - PPP, School Bylaw)? and how their participation in the night shift takes effect? The study’s general objective is to analyze how the relationship between family and school appears in school documents (PPP, School Bylaw), especially the students’ families participation on the night shift, and the specific objectives: To discuss the family participation importance in school context, especially in the night shift, identify the socio-economic-cultural conditions of nightly students, and to discuss the main elements that compound school-family relationships in the documents of the investigated school. We take as a basis the studies by Wieczorkievicz, Baade, 2020; Ferrarotto and Malavasi, 2016; Nogueira, 2012, 2005; Ribeiro, 2015, which point out the partnership and integration consequences facing the task of educating. However, the family-school relationship is a phenomenon that is still little known in Brazilian reality, especially when it comes to the student who enters the school in the night shift. The methodology was the documental analysis, application of a mixed questionnaire; Its locus is the Assis Chateaubriand Integrated Education Center (CIEAC), a school unit of special size, with students enrolled in the Final Years of Elementary School, High School, New High School, Flow Regularization RFF and the modality Youth and Adult Education (EJA); in Feira de Santana city, in Bahia state. Results: Although the relationship between school and family is interdependent, in practice it has not been established in this way in the night shift. Conclusion: the school and the family, in the night shift, need to establish an interdependent partnership, and this role must be made explicit in school documents.
