Abstract

 In the text, the philosophical reflection about the category "possibility" takes into consideration the approaches made in the Specialization Course in Critical-Historical Pedagogy for the Schools of the Field of FACED/UFBA, to a Marxist pedagogical theory, deepened from studies about the theory of Cultural Historical development, which has been developed in Brazil for 40 years. The possibility of transforming Critical Historical Pedagogy into reality is linked to the existence of rural education and rural schools. The educational data show the violent attack on public education, promoted by the ultra-neoliberal politics, by the State of exception, which requires active resistance, which implies in the capacity of critical reflection, of collective action, of propositions that overcome the contradictions, assuming as a class, tasks, tactics, and strategies that overcome capitalism and its destructive logic.
