Abstract

In this paper we present reflections on the place of research on ethnic-racial relations in the teachers training of Youth and Adult Education on field. The study was carried out through a survey in the Catalog of Theses and Dissertations of CAPES in the period from October 1 to 15, 2022. The text was guided by the search to understand the place of ethnic-racial relations in the productions on teacher training of Youth and Adult Education on field. The text was guided by the search to understand the place of ethnic-racial relations in the productions on teacher training of Youth and Adult Education on field. The study was subsidized by the methodological contribution of qualitative research, anchored in the assumptions of the literature review with an emphasis on the Romanowski and Ens (2006) approach. We understand the place of teacher training as central to changing pedagogical practices, especially those that allow us to build

experiences in which teachers can analyze, experience and propose intervention strategies that deconstruct racist practices and value black culture. For mapping the surveys were used the descriptors: +“Ethnic-racial relations in surveys on teacher training of Youth and Adult Education on field”. In the universe of 2181 works, we did not find studies on the specificity of teacher training in the Youth and Adult Education on field. For the descriptor +“Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations and Youth and Adult Education”, 21 works were found, and for the descriptor +“Education of ethnic-racial relations and teachers training of Youth and Adult Education”, 4 works were identified. We found that the place of ethnic-racial relations in the training of teachers in Youth and Adult Education on field is still scarce, and we realized that in the Catalog of Theses and Dissertations of CAPES there are no studies reflecting on ethnic-racial relations in the training of teachers in Youth and Adult Education on field. This fact points to the relevance of the present work and the urgency of expanding studies and training actions that deal with this theme, understanding its relevance for effecting changes in the scenario of racist and colonizing education, which predominates in the Brazilian reality.
