BRIEF APPROACH ON THE ARTICULATION OF METHODOLOGIES AND EPISTEMOLLOGIES IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF ANTHONY GIDDENS' STRUCTURING THEORY

Abstract

This article proposes to present some elements of the theory of structuration by the English sociologist Anthony Giddens. To do so, I refer to some parts of his 1984 work “The Constitution of Society”, prioritizing his notion of duality of structure, his approach to institutions and power, with which I even title the topics of this work. As this is an article, and taking into account the dimensions of this type of textual construction, I do not intend here to exhaust or deepen any of the elements covered, but only to raise questions that may be better explored in later works.
